WHIT BRACHNA
Senior Conceptartist at Massive Black, SAN FRANCISCO
Whit is originally from the quiet town of Bath, Ohio. He attended Savannah College of Art and Design for one year. He moved out to San Francisco at 19 to study with Carl Dobsky and the other fine teachers and students at the Next Gen Atelier. He continued at the atelier for about three years working on traditional drawing and painting while working at Massive Black. He works on environments and the occasional character, creature or robot for many different clients. He keeps a sketchbook, paints on his free time and works on freelance as well.
Andrew Wyeth is one of his favorite artists and a constant inspiration. Other favorites: Antonio Lopez Garcia, Sam Weber, Jeff Jones, Corot, Anders Zorn, and a bunch of the guys teaching at this workshop!
Whit also enjoys taking photos, hanging out on rooftops, people watching and reading books (currently Notes from the Underground by Dostoevsky.) He enjoys painting landscapes, abstractions of things, beautiful girls (and girls not so typically beautiful,) clouds, dead things, and whatever else comes to mind.
